Set to enchant musical spirits over the weekend of 2nd- 3rd November this year, the festival that has evolved to become one of the country’s most beloved melodic affairs will be witness to yet another year end extravaganza as thousands of fans and discerning music lovers converge for an unforgettable experience.

Poets of the Fall
The Finnish alt- rock band with over a decade and a half presence in the international scene, Poets of the Fall will be back to performing in India for the first time since 2007. With Marko Saaresto (lead vocals), Olli Tukiainen (lead guitar), Markus “Captain” Kaarlonen (keyboards, production),Jani Snellman (bass), Jaska Mäkinen (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), and Jari Salminen (drums, percussion) among its ranks, the band from Helsinki is all set to woo as audience favorites when it takes the stage in the 2018 NH Weekender in Meghalaya.
The 1993 winner of Guitarist magazine’s “Guitarist of the Year” competition, legendary guitarist Guthrie Govan will be taking the stage at this edition of the festival. One of the most versatile guitarists internationally, Govan will be among the artists to watch out this weekend.
California rock Band Switchfoot will be among the international artists dotting the line up of the NH Weekender 2018 and the Grammy Award winning band comprising of Jon Foreman (lead vocals, guitar), Tim Foreman (bass guitar, backing vocals), Chad Butler (drums, percussion), Jerome Fontamillas (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), and Drew Shirley (guitar, backing vocals) will be seeking to enthrall with their trademark energetic live performance.
Shankar Mahadevan: My Country, My Music
As one of the strongest presences in the Indian music scene, Shankar Mahadevan is undoubtedly an artist of the masses. With soulful numbers that carries immense appeal, Mahadevan is one among the most legendary of Indian musicians. With My Country, My Music, Mahadevan collaborates with folk artistes and will be enthralling Meghalaya with a rich repertoire of music heritage from across the country.
Bollywood’s reservoir of musical energy Vishal Dadlani makes it matter every time he walks on stage with his infectious aura. And we expect it to be no different this time when Dadlani’s rock/electronica band Pentagram embarks the Meghalaya stage. Featuring Randolph Correia on guitars and electronics, Papal Mane on bass and Shiraz Bhattacharya on drums, Pentagram, with its cult following will definitely pull in the crowds at The Festive Hills.
Exploring the genre of alternative rock in a manner that has never been explored before in the Indian music circuit, music band Zero has been sporadically active for two decades now. With Warren Mendonsa, Rajeev Talwar, Sidd Coutto, Girish ‘Bobby’ Talwar among its ranks, the band that has had a cult following and inspires a volley of emotions in an entire generation of Indian college goers. This time around, Zero will definitely be one of the most enigmatic presences at the Bacardi NH Weekender Music Festival.
India’s bass prodigy who has been making a mark for more than a decade now, the young and vibrant Mohini Dey is a celebrated musician in her own right. Having performed with stalwarts like A R Rahman , Plini, Marco Minnemann, John Patitucci and Abraham Laboriel, Dave Weckl, Jordan Rudess, Steve Vai, Mohini will now be putting up a feast for revelers at the Weekender music festival.
Hardcore metal band Scribe is every inch of the music it encompasses. Known to its legion of fans as Scribecore- a genre of metallica unique to its name- this will be definitely one of the most anticipated among performers at this year’s happiest music festival.
Zubeen Garg’s Tribute to Bhupen Hazarika
Assamese music icon Zubeen Garg’s tribute to Bhupen Hazarika, the doyen of world music will undoubtedly be one of the many highpoints of this year’s BACARDÍ NH7 Weekender.
Carnatic music doyen TM Krishna’s blend of subtle, traditional music into something that gets as catchy and innovative as it can will be one of the major highlights this time around at the NH Weekender in Meghalaya.
By virtue of its reputation of being a band with an electrifying stage presence, Dossers Urge helmed by brothers David, Romeo and Gideon are expected to set the stage on fire when they take charge with their offering of psychedelia/punk/pop/blues music accompanied by nostalgic heavy distorted guitar/bass and drum beats.
