He is everything villains are supposed to be- evil, malicious and insane. Yet there is something so innately enticing about him that he is also our most loved man. Yes, Joker- the name we know you have deciphered without even a grimace! That’s just how much powerful Joker is to be exerting of such influence that clicks instantly with you. And with that volley of power this mere mortal has it all to offset even the mightiest supervillains of the parallel universe. Here are some really insane facts about Joker which proves he is more dangerous than even Thanos-
The Joker is unpredictable
He is the guy without a plan. You might think that makes him a lesser force to deal with. Worse, that’s makes him even the more dangerous because he is so unpredictable. He can do just about anything at any moment and you will be left bamboozled. What’s more terrifying is that even he does not know what he is upto. He acts so much by instinct that it’s hard to decipher his mystery!
The return of the dead
The Joker might be very much human but his immense powers make him no less than a super human. Or more accurately, a supervillain. He has been killed off many times throughout his existence, only to return again and again for his undying love- or hate- for Batman. Someone who has the power to return from the dead even when he does not project the essential supernatural look is more dangerous than Thanos or any one else at any point!
Harley Quinn is known as the romantic lead to him, but the Joker’s obsession with Batsy is so intense that in fact he actually uses Quinn to get to his forever fancy- Batman!
Bruce Wayne is Batman, but The Joker doesn’t give a damn!
He works on instinct perhaps because he does not rely on his brain to direct him even when he has got a really sensible one. So much so that he does not care even when he might know that Batman indeed is Bruce Wayne! That, even when the Joker has managed to not give any inkling of his own identity. Now that’s some serious calculative skill!
Joker has all and nothing at stake, at once
Undoubtedly, the Joker exhibits such mental prowess that would put Thanos to shame. Thanos sure is powerful but take away his gauntlet and the Infinity Stones and he would not be half of what he is. Joker though has nothing to lose and with his unpredictability sure has got such things happening that you dread his very thought.
The Joker is powerful in his own might
Joker also has time and again managed to dominate arch nemesis Batman even when he has been traditionally less powerful than him. Thanos, on the other hand, had much powers to back him up even when he faced Marvel’s most powerful superheroes. Indeed, it is Joker’s ability to stand out even against his more formidable adversary that makes him more dangerous than Thanos.
The Joker is frighteningly real
Perhaps what makes the Joker even more menacing is that he is an insanely real person. He dwells in all the evils of society that make him frighteningly inescapable. An insane mind is any day more dangerous than just a powerful body with reason to operate it. One glimpse of that so very creepy, sadistic grin on the Joker’s face and you are undone!
Joker’s villainous reputation is darker than any other of his genre. This works in making him all the more dangerous because you can not ever be completely prepared for tackling mind games. Physical power might seem to render a might of a different kind but one that is very much informidable and therefore very less threatening.
A resonating back story that backs his evil
The Joker has his own back story to back him up. A troubled childhood with an abusive father sure puts perspective in place when you think of Joker’s ‘incentive’ to be evil. It’s his vow to avenge the wrongs and save the soul of Gotham from all evil pervading the society that makes him more resolutely steadfast, and therefore more dangerous, in his actions.
The Joker is stark, even to the imagination
In revealing the injustice of the world, the Joker is also the best manifestation of the worst possible reality. The world silently exploits weakness, the Joker goes all revealing of it. Like he will never kill Batman because he world be bored to death without his favorite enemy to play along his whims. He would rather keep him alive and torture him to such extent that brings him nauseatingly closer to experiencing haunting death. Provocation is the Joker’s favorite weapon and his opponent’s worst yielding.
Because, Heath Ledger
Perhaps all this enumeration and validation of being the most dangerous villain would not have been so cohesively convincing had it not been for the man who brought the character to life in the way only he could have. Heath Ledger- the man who is most remembered as being the Joker has been so effective in his impact that it’s tough to view the character as distinct from him even when he is no more to put life into the villain. For us, Heath Ledger is The Joker. And he does not need any more identity. It is Ledger’s perfect enactment of the role with every evil element just perfectly in place that makes us believe and assert Joker’s dominance as the most powerful villain of all.
More than real enough to terrorise you
Even for a phenomenon that is a mere presence in comics and on screen, the Joker yields an unrelenting sense of fright. This is one character that has been so much demanding for its actors that a therapist has always been on call on set because of the toll Joker has been exerting even as a mere fictional character. Imagine its powers that have made it so much of dangerous even while being only a figment of fiction!
