Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK , shocked the entire nation due to his untimely demise on May 31, 2022. The 53-year-old singer who was performing at a concert in Kolkata’s Nazrul Manch had rushed out of there after he complained of chest pain. He was then taken to his hotel room where he collapsed and was soon rushed to a private hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. As per reports, the singer had suffered a massive cardiac arrest due to which he had unfortunately passed away.

KK, who was an alumnus of Delhi’s Mount St Mary’s School and Kirori Mal College, began his career in music by singing for advertisement jingles. In a span of four years, he sang more than 3,500 jingles across 11 languages. He made his debut as a Bollywood singer with the song Tadap Tadap Ke Is Dil Se from the film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The singer is survived by his wife Jyothy Krishna and two children- son Nakul Krishna Kunnath and daughter Tamara Kunnath.
