A professional interior designer
His natural screen presence and starry aura might make have made Sidharth seem as someone forever following his penchant to deliver the dramatics in front of the camera. But acting wasn’t the first choice of career for Shukla. Rather passionate about the unrelated field of interior designing was Shukla who in fact graduated college with a degree in this particular subject of his interest. Armed with a bachelors degree from Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design, Sidharth went on to work for a couple of years at an interior designing firm before deciding to make the plunge into a world of glamour.
Played against Italian football club AC Milan
Sidharth Shukla was a favorite among all his fans but specifically commanding the attention of the ladies not only because of his dashing good looks but also because of his amazing physique. An ardent practitioner of physical fitness and in fact one of the fittest actors in Indian television, Shukla won numerous wellness awards that further substantiate his status as an intensely fit man. His dedication to fitness perhaps could be attributed to his childhood which he himself described as athletic. An excellent player of tennis and football, having represented his school in the two sports, a lesser known fact about this multitalented personality is that Shukla had even played against world famous Italian football club, AC Milan’s under-19 team, on their Mumbai visit as part of Festa Italiana!
First Asian to win the World’s Best Model contest
Starting out his journey in showbiz by first walking the ramp, Sidharth’s Shukla’s modelling career indeed is as phenomenal as his other achievements. The 2004 runner up of the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest, the then 20 something Sidharth went on to create history the very next year by becoming not just the first Indian but also the first Asian ever to win the World’s Best Model contest held in Turkey. That opened up a world of opportunities galore for the young lad who went on to star in advertisements for Bajaj Avenger, ICICI and Digjam following the feat.
Acted in an international production
As someone who did manage to capture the attention of the ad world instantly, it is no surprise that Sidharth made his debut on the small screen as a lead in a prime time show in 2008. He followed it up with numerous stints in daily soaps as well as with regular presences in the arena of reality television, finally marking his territory in Bollywood as well by starring in the hit 2014 film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Shukla’s performance in the film earned him rave reviews and also paved the way for him to star in an international production, the Kazakhstan movie titled Business in Kazakhstan two years later.
Voted the Bigg Boss GOAT
Shukla’s exploits across many an Indian reality shows helped him further his popularity and appeal among the masses. The 2016 winner of the stunt reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 who roared to his victory after re-entering the show as a wild card entrant following his earlier elimination, Sidharth Shukla also emerged as the winner of the 13th season of Bigg Boss in 2020. Also appearing in the following season of Bigg Boss as a senior was Shukla who had been voted as the Bigg Boss Greatest Of All Times (GOAT) in a series of polls conducted just before the premiere of Bigg Boss 14.
