The lady who has really upheld the significance of the great words ‘Women Power’ and ‘Impossible is Possible’ is mountain climber and sportswoman Arunima Sinha, who is also a motivational coach as she has the talent of inspiring other with her powerful quotes.  With an aim to climb each of the continents’ highest peaks and hoist the national flag of India there, Sinha had been able to reach the zenith of success in her mountaineering career when she became the first female amputee in the world to scale Mount Everest in 2013. Sinha took 52 days to reach the summit of the highest peak in the world and had finally reached there on May 21. Besides Mount Everest, she had also scaled Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), Mount Elbrus (Russia), Mount Kosciusko (Australia), Mount Aconcagua (South America), Carstensz Pyramid (Indonesia) and Mount Vinson (Antaractica). The saddest part of her life story is that she was born as a healthy baby but had become physically handicapped on losing her leg due to the most unfortunate and shocking train accident. On April 12, 2011, Sinha had boarded the Padmavati Express to travel from Lucknow to Delhi in order to give an exam for joining the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). However, she was pushed out of a general coach of the train by hooligans wanting to snatch her bag and gold chain for personal favours. After she fell from the train onto the railway track, another train coming up from the opposite direction ran over her leg. She was then rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. The doctors had to amputate her leg in order to save her life. Sinha was also taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi for further treatment. A private company provided her a prosthetic leg when she was under treatment at AIIMS for about four months. While being under treatment at AIIMS, Sinha decided to become a mountaineer and climb Mount Everest after getting inspiration from cricketer Yuvraj Singh who had battled cancer successfully. There was no looking back after she took a basic mountaineering course from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi and then set off on her expedition.

If you are really passionate about your hobbies and want to take it up as a full time profession, you should not stop and ponder over the harsh criticisms that might be coming from someone you know but rather continuing taking steps towards it because by the time you become an expert everyone would become silent and will be bowled over by your achievements.
