But in a never before seen rendezvous of sorts, at least 200 people will course on for the noble run in what should be the first ever tea run in the world. With multiple options available for runners in different categories, the marathon should indeed be the star of the show. While adults can compete in the 5k 10k & 21k length runs, kids can have a fun time running for either 1k or 3k length of distances.

With a warm post race brunch and a traditional Assamese farewell, it will be curtains on the three day extravaganza that will supposedly be a wonderful amalgamation of varied interests and events.

With an emphasis on raising the standard of living of its workers and their families, the Jalinga Tea Run would be a 100% charity run and all proceeds collected from the race will be diverted to account for the welfare of workers. With a 80G certificate of participation granted to all registrations, the event which aims to attract at least 40 reputed world tea buyers has all potential of being a grand success.
