Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin gave this song life back in 1998, when France held the World Cup.

Anastacia – Boom

This was the official song of the 2002 World Cup, hosted by South Korea and Japan, sung by American songstress Anastacia.

Il Divo featuring Toni Braxton – The Time of Our Lives

This was the official song for the 2006 World Cup, in Germany. It was performed by multinational quartet Il Divo and also featured vocals from American R&B singer Toni Braxton.

Shakira featuring Freshlyground – Waka Waka

The most well-known World Cup song by far, ‘Waka Waka’ was sung by Colombian songstress Shakira and featured Freshlyground, a South African band.

This song was the Coca-Cola official promotional anthem, and not the Official Song, back in 2010. But it gets a mention regardless because of its inspiring lyrics, beautiful music video and its overall popularity.
