Football player Mohamed Salah’s contract with his club Liverpool has been renewed.
The new contract has the forward signed for a further 5 years with the club with the new deal running upto 2023.
With 44 goals from 52 appearances, Salah had been one successful buy for the club last season. The Egyptian was also the top scorer in the Premier League last season as he found the net 32 times in 38 matches to claim the Golden Boot.
Last season’s performances also saw him winning the Professional Footballers’ Association Player of the Year award and Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year.
Jürgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, believes this extension in contract stands as testimony to the player’s exploits with the ball and also his growing progress while at the club for which he was signed for £34m.
The new contract, which does not have a release clause, put to release all speculations about the 26 year old’s probable move to Spain.
