The August cover of the British edition of fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue will be graced by media icon Oprah Winfrey.
The 64 year old mogul will be seen in a white off the shoulder, custom made Stella Mc Cartney gown and the picture was shared by her on social media along with an expression of gratitude to editor-in-chief Edward Enninful.
The rare one-on-one interview with writer Decca Aitkenhead opens up a volley of information on Winfrey’s public and private life, touching upon issues as diverse as her Royal wedding appearance, feminism as well as a speculated foray into politics, along with the love and losses of her own person.
Winfrey’s vociferous support for the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements spells her spirituality and self help advocacy, even in the backdrop of a rumored political move, which she has outright dismissed.
Her grand appearance at the year’s majestic Meghan Markle- Prince Williams wedding had grabbed eyeballs, but she reveals her faux paus with fashion for the majestic event, and how she ended up in a pastel pink dress, instead of a pre decided cream one.
Not only that, she also encountered love the right way in the wedding extravaganza and even met Markle’s mother Doria Ragland before the coveted May 19 event this year.
But it was the political twist in her recent activities that had garnered maximum attention and Oprah obviously had to answer that in the interview. She did, and outright refused any such association with politics calling it ‘not a clean business’ and where she cannot exist.
