Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor recently got candid about his bankruptcy and heartbreak, post Jagga Jasoos.
Awaiting the release of the Sanjay Dutt biopic titled Sanju, Ranbir opened up to the Film Companion’s Anupama Chopra about Jagga Jasoos and the heartbreak and financial crunch the film endowed him with.
The star believes that his character in the Katrina Kaif co starrer wasn’t complicated as such, but had so many different layers that it became very difficult for him to keep it simple as well.

The film, which was a box office failure, had Ranbir take on the role of a stammering lad and he found it challenging to keep the stammer as real as possible.
Another unique aspect that characterised the Anurag Basu directorial was dialogues encompassed in songs and that for Ranbir, involved performing songs in a surrealistic way, in order to keep it very real.

However, Jagga Jasoos left Ranbir broken, not only because it was a failure cinematically, but also because it hit him hard financially, given that he had also produced the film.
One of Bollywood’s finest new gen actors, Ranbir also revealed his experience of working with film maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and how he had to give multiple takes of one single move during the course of the shoot.
The son of Bollywood couple Rishi and Neetu Kapoor also admitted about sacrificing a lot of friendships to stay true to his characters.

With his romance to fellow actor Alia Bhatt doing the rounds, Jr Kapoor also reflected on love and life, terming love as the greatest thing in the world, which makes life great.
