Netflix’s first Indian Original series Sacred Games will soon be returning for a much awaited second season.
Making the announcement, the official Twitter handle of Netflix India shared a 45 second teaser of Sacred Games 2 with the recurring motif of Season 1- a mandala returning to ‘star’ throughout the video that teases the return of henchman Ganesh Gaitonde.

Season 1 of the immensely popular thriller drama had chronicled the fallout of Gaitonde’s death with inspector Sartaj Singh being presented with a deadline of 25 days to save the city from ‘God’ Gaitonde himself.
However, with the season 1 climax bordering on a cliffhanger, a succeeding season has always been obvious and the latest teaser does all it can to stimulate viewer’s anticipation with the mandala stopping its spin to reveal an equally intriguing title design, replete with a ‘2’ in the Devnagri script.
A voiceover from some of the major characters of the series adds to the hype expected from what is expected to be another engrossing season of the crime drama which will be directed by Anurag Kashyap.
While Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan will be reprising their original roles- and enigma, another godman Pankaj Tripathi is touted to have a much meatier role this time around.
