In yet another case of slackened cyber security, Bollywood celebrity Shahid Kapoor’s Instagram and Twitter accounts were hacked recently.
At a time when the new dad was celebrating the birth of his second child with wife Mira Rajput, an infamous Turkish hacker set to work to bring Kapoor’s social media handles under his own influence.
And while Kapoor’s Instagram account did not have much activity during the ‘reign’ of the alleged hacker Ayyildiz Tim, the actor’s Twitter handle was clearly a mess.
Twitter was heated up with the hacker making Kapoor’s handle retweet several posts of his own, most significant being the one criticising Shahid’s role as Turkish origin king Allaudin Khilji from the actor’s film Padmaavat.
In yet another post shared under Shahid’s Twitter account was a song of Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif, with the actor seemingly professing his love for the actress.
Tim happens to be the same hacker who had also engaged in overtaking illegal authority of the social media accounts of Bollywood stars Abhishek Bachchan, Anupam Kher and others just some time back.
However, as per latest developments, Kapoor’s Insta account has been recovered and his team is also working out hard to restore his presence on Twitter as well.
An oblivious Shahid Kapoor was alerted about the purported hack by his fans, even as the actor was rejoicing in the birth of his son. Kapoor’s team was swift enough to spring into action and take control of the matter before more damage could be done.
Well, Shahid, we just hope that this aberration does not serve much of a nuisance to you as you bask in your additional responsibility of fathering a baby for the second time. Happy parenting!
