A few days ago, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘sweet gesture’ for his ‘close friend’ Irrfan had generated lot of response, with netizens erupting in joy at such display of ‘true friendship’.

However, the incident has emerged to be a fake one, with Irrfan Khan’s spokesperson releasing a statement that has dismissed the occurrence of any such meeting.

The statement reads, “The story floating around of Shahrukh and Irrfan is a fragment of imagination of some individual who has whipped out the story through their unreliable sources. It has no truth to it. While the duo are friends, the story of their meeting and the subsequent incidents has no truth.”

King Khan was not available for comments, however, in what turns out to be another embarrassing case of false news.

Irrfan had earlier taken to social media to express his gratitude on being awarded the IIFA award for best performance in a leading role for his film Hindi Medium.

The actor was diagnosed with a rare case of neuroendocrine tumor some time back and the news was shared by Irrfan himself in March this year.
